Amy teaches weekly yoga classes at Renew Yoga in Petaluma, CA and at Sonoma Fit in Sonoma, CA.
Group classes are purchased at the studio. Individual classes can be purchased online, below.

On  Monday morning we start a little more gently and build to a nice slow simmer in your body. We set a powerful intention and manifest transformation in this mindful steady flow that builds to an energetic workout for a deliciously sweaty kick off to your week.

A dynamic fresh and energetic flow designed for all levels to explore creating space in the body while building strength and stability. Walk away transformed with a new sense of wonder and ease.

A creative and dynamic practice intentionally designed with freestyle fun in mind. This class is fluid and spontaneous yet set with an intention to remind us not to take ourselves or our practice too seriously. Be prepared to laugh, sing along and go with the flow.

STABLE YOGA RX

3 CLASS PACKAGE $240

60 Minutes Each

Stable Yoga RX Sessions are packaged in groups of three for a specific purpose:

Session 1 is your assessment. We will take a history, discuss current limitations and pain then do diagnostic testing on your flexibility and muscle function in order to evaluate where your body is weak and where it is over working.

Session 2 focuses on your yoga assessment looking at your specific body and how it functions during the poses themselves. We will look at the subtleties in your body during poses and tweak the practice to help support optimal function for your body.

Session 3 is when we create a lengthening and strengthening flow that helps bring your body back to optimal balance and function. We will recored this so you can take it with you and practice on your own.

STABLE PRIVATE GROUP CLASSES

Perfect for corporate yoga or corporate retreats, weddings and other gatherings in Sonoma County.
Amy will design a specific format, flow and foundation to grow for your group and bring it to wherever you are. Classes can include meditation, be multi-level, basic or challenging.
Every class is designed for everyone to to enjoy wether they are a new practitioner or seasoned yogi.

BACK TO BASICS WORKSHOPS

In these 90 minute workshops where we break down the flow and take a closer look at the body mechanics of key postures. Stable Workshops will build your knowledge of how to move in and hold poses safely and correctly, avoiding injury, and making difficult poses most accessible.

STABLE CHATURANGA

This pose is the cornerstone of vinyasa flow. Learn the proper technique for chaturanga dandasana/4 limbed staff pose and you’ll find your practice become stronger and more sustainable. We will build strength, analyze technique and explore the fun of jump-throughs while also dissecting the complexity of movement within chatarunga, that practiced incorrectly can lead to poor habits or injury.

STABLE ALIGNMENT

We align to tadasana (mountain) in every asana (pose). In this personalized alignment workshop, we will do a postural analysis to help each student find their own unique true north in their practice. Engaging your core and centering your spine in mountain pose anchors you to the mat and to your practice. No matter what pose you may be exploring, this personalized alignment is the foundation from which your practice can flow.

STABLE BREATH

Your breath is the metronome of your practice, fueling every pose and movement. The breath brings us ease and presence. In this class we will explore the limb of pranayama, yogic breath control and how to utilize breath to awaken our core while bringing ease to the flow. Starting with the sun salutation we will work on the cadence of one breath one movement, the foundation of the practice.

STABLE FLIGHT

Flight poses combine athleticism with playfulness and add a light-hearted sense of fun to your practice. Your core is your center of gravity and the anchor for balance and flight. In this class we will learn how to strengthen and leverage your core so you can fly, lift and balance with ease in crow, airplane, half moon and more.

STABLE BACKBENDS

Undo the negative effects of a hunched and crunched screen-facing posture with backbends that open your chest, unlock your shoulders and free your hips. Backbends bring you to a place of freedom and openness, allowing a heart-centered connection between strength and vulnerability. We will explore flipping your dog, finding bridge and camel with ease, and discover the path to wheel in a safe and supported environment.

STABLE INVERSIONS

Changing perspective is essential to growth. Drop your fear and learn how to safely and mindfully look at the world and yourself in a new way. Inversions create a rush of oxygenated blood to the body, improve circulation and core strength, and reverse the eects of gravity and compression on your spine. Lighten your body and ground into stability while you learn the tools to master headstand, handstand and dolphin.

Every year between late December and mid-March thousands of gray whales make their annual migration through the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Baja California. It is a spectacular event. The whales migrate 5,000 miles from the cold waters of Alaska’s Bering Sea to the warm water of the Baja Peninsula. During these months it is possible to see these magnificent creatures and experience one of the world’s most memorable wildlife adventures.
